The Retreat at Ramapo Valley

In parternship with Hackensack Meridian Health, our substance abuse and addiction treatment center sits on the 34 acre site of the historic Carmel Retreat in Mahwah, NJ. We will begin offering Outpatient Services in October 2020.

Overview
When complete, our 35,000 square foot center will house a 72 bed residential center and provide a range of treatment options that focus on individualized recovery plans. This person-specific model places a high value on enhancing the patient’s own motivation for recovery, while providing the medical care, counseling and compassionate support necessary for long-term recovery.
Outpatient Program

Outpatient services o er comprehensive drug abuse and alcohol addiction treatment to patients and their families when the severity of addictive disease does not require residential treatment. The treatment will be fully individualized based on clients specific needs – one that focuses on understanding the disease concept of addiction, and the need for relapse prevention skills.

Traditional Outpatient Service

    • Offered three days per week
    • Each session will be 1.5 hours
    • Clients initially will attend two sessions per week and then transition to one session each week

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient Programs are for those addicted to alcohol and drugs who are able and willing to commit to a structured program which requires regular attendance and active participation.

  • Offered day and evening Monday – Friday & day session on Saturday
  • Each session will be 3 hours
  • Clients will attend 4 days per week, for a total of 12 hours and then transition to three days per week, for a total of 9 hours
